I tried this restaurant with a coupon for a buy one get one free which is a great promo. Amanda up front was very friendly and engaging and was helpful with my questions. You can tell she enjoys helping others. The food was good and a lot better than Hawaiian Bros. I loved the Mac salad and love that it is not over salted. The chicken was good but I did not really enjoy the steak. It was very tough and hard to chew. I would go back because of the atmosphere and the Mac salad!

First time trying this place and will be the last. Food was cold, chicken was burnt and the rice was stale hard. Very disappointed. The food felt like it was prepackaged and sitting on the counter for a while.

We decided to drop in on the newly opened Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food, cautiously optimistic after a previous Hawaiian food experience in Frisco that left our taste buds filing a formal complaint. Happy to report: this visit was a complete plot twist. What started as a casual stop-by quickly escalated into a full-blown “round two” situation—because one plate simply wasn’t enough. We sampled the teriyaki chicken, teriyaki steak, and Hawaiian pork, and each dish delivered like it had something to prove. The meats were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor—no dry, sad proteins here. Just pure island-style satisfaction. The staff deserves a shoutout as well—welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful, especially for first-timers trying to decode the menu without accidentally ordering enough food for a luau. And then… dessert. The mango cheesecake. Smooth, rich, and dangerously easy to keep eating “just one more bite” of. My wife boldly declared it on par with The Cheesecake Factory, which, in dessert terms, is basically the Olympics. All in all, this spot turned our Hawaiian food skepticism into full-on enthusiasm. Safe to say, this “hidden gem” in Celina won’t be hidden from us

Stopped by Mo’ Bettahs’ new location in Celina off Preston Road tonight for opening night, and I have to say—so excited to have them in the neighborhood! There was definitely a bit of a line (no surprise for opening day), but the staff handled it great. Everyone was friendly, upbeat, and kept things moving smoothly, which made the wait totally worth it. We loaded up on all the good stuff—I got the Kahlua pig with double veggies, and my fiancé went for both types of chicken with brown rice and macaroni salad. Everything was absolutely delicious and flavored perfectly. You really can’t go wrong here—the food is always fresh, hearty, and packed with flavor. The space itself is great too—plenty of seating and very similar to their other location, with that laid-back island vibe. I loved the surfboards on the wall and the Hawaii photography throughout the restaurant—such a fun, thoughtful touch that really brings the whole concept together. We’re so happy to have Mo’ Bettahs this close to home and will definitely be back again soon! 👉 Pro tip: They’re currently running a buy one, get one 1/2 off promo for this location—check out their Facebook page for the details!
